Cascade sonotrode-emitter. Super-cavitator.


Emitting surface of common ultrasonic sonotrode, e. g. for 22 kHz, has small sizes, therefore volume and surface of treated object are also little. Transfer from experiments to half-industrial and industrial sets, under increasing of productivity, requires saving of prescribed ultrasound oscillations intensity levels. This can be solved by several ways:

-  by increasing of number of applied ultrasonic sets;

-  by creating of complex sonotrode emitting systems;

-  by changing of engineering technique for problem under consideration etc.

 

Tubular emitting sonotrode systems are known. Their wide distribution is re-strained by deficient mechanical toughness of sonotrode. Sonotrode are made of minimum three parts, connected by welding or by other means. Such sonotrodes is being actuated by high-amplitude power ultrasound, toughness of binding turns out to be deficient and destruction of sonotrode-emitter occurs.

 

Our company has developed and manufactures cascade sonotrode-emitter for using in high-effective high-amplitude ultrasonic acoustic systems. Significant area of ultrasound emitting, standing of significant amplitudes possibility without loss of main operating parameters allow to solve technological problems of ultrasonic technologies application at new level.

At Fig. 1 one of cascade sonotrode-emitter possible modifications is represented, it's connected to magnetostrictive transducer with 2.5 kW power, operating frequency is 22 kHz. Sonotrode is continuous-solid, it's made of titanium alloy.

Coefficient of efficiency of ultrasonic oscillations into cavitation transformation is 88%. Approximate overall sizes (depends on emitting power):

-  diameter is 50 / 70 mm;

-  length is about 500 mm.

 

Sonotrode-emitter can be manufactured for connecting to ultrasonic transducer with power up to 5 kW, at 22 kHz frequency.
